I am an evolutionary ecologist with a lifelong fascination with the natural world. My research seeks to understand the processes underlying the origin, resilience, and adaptability of biodiversity to be able to predict how biodiversity will respond to future changes.

Growing up near the tropical rainforests of the Western Ghats in southern India, my fascination with the natural world blossomed early. My research interests lie in understanding biodiversity responses to changing environments. For my PhD, I am exploring how ecological communities can adapt and stay resilient in a rapidly transforming world.

I hold two Bachelor’s degrees—one in Geosciences from the University of Basel and another in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Hohenheim. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Ecology and Evolution at ETH Zurich. What fascinates me most are the interactions between natural spheres—such as the biosphere, geosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere—and the ways in which they shape and influence each other. Interdisciplinary approaches that connect biology, chemistry and physics are particularly important to me in understanding these dynamics.
